Why should I transfer to DVD?
All those old video tapes or slides that you may have are slowing degrading over time. You could let those memories fade away with the degraded video tapes and slides or you could where you could have them transferred to DVD, preserving them and making them easier to watch.
What formats can be transferred to DVD?
Videotapes: VHS, Hi-8, MiniDV, Betamax
Slides: 35mm slides
Photos: up to 8″x10″ prints
Will the DVD play in my DVD player?
Your new DVD’s will play in almost any standalone DVD player currently in use. If you player was purchased after 2002 and can read DVD-R and DVD+R discs, it is very likely that it is compatible with your new DVD’s.
What comes the DVD of my videotapes?
DVD chapters set to 2, 5 and 10 minute intervals

Will I get my original tapes or slides back?
Of course! Everything you provide for us to transfer will be returned to you upon the completion of your transfers.
How long will it take?
The transfer process will take about 3 weeks. However, during the holiday season we tend to experience heavier volume, which could lead to a longer processiong and transfer time. If you are ordering a DVD for a gift we suggest that you allow extra time. All processing and service times are estimates, we will always do our best to complete your order as quickly as possible. Skeev media can not make promises or guarantees regarding transfer service times.
Should I order extra copies?
This is an easy to preserve and share memories, we suggest you keep a copy of your video in a safe, secure location like a safe in your home or a safety deposit box. You may order copies after you have received your DVD but we will have to price it as a new order. We suggest that you order extra copies when you place your order.
Can I mix the types of media on my DVD?
No, we can only transfer one type of media per DVD that you purchase. In example, videotapes and slides cannot be transferred to the same DVD. For more than one type of media, please place a seperate order for each media type.
How much footage can I fit on one DVD?
Up to 4 hours if we don’t edit any footage, just transfer straight over.
2 Hours if we edit or customize the DVD in any way.
How to I indicate viewing order of my media?
Label all tapes, slides and photos in preferred viewing order. If not labeled or marked they will be processed randomly.
